From 1 March 2010, an individual or entity providing BAS services for a fee or other reward is required to register with the new Tax Practitioners Board as a BAS Agent under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 in order to provide those services. We believe that providers of payroll services also need to register, and anyone configuring and setting up accounting or related software applications that calculate reportable BAS field amounts which include for example POS systems, Payroll systems, SAP, ERP, Warehousing, Manufacturing systems and so on. During this early phase of this new website implementation, new member registrations will be for the moment by invitation only to past attendees of our Burwood East and Mornington [VIC] workshops. The game plan is to hold a number of workshops in the next few months and get some input, ideas and suggestions on how we can best present information and resources to minimise your information overload. We will advise when resources have been uploaded and updated and when we are in a position to accept registrations for all relevant member categories. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
